The opportunity

An established and highly regarded wealth management business is seeking an experienced Wealth Adviser to join its growing financial planning team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a client-focused adviser who is passionate about delivering high-quality financial planning advice and building long-term client relationships. The successful candidate will inherit and develop client relationships while working alongside an established team of wealth management professionals.

The role offers the opportunity to advise clients across investments, pensions, retirement planning and protection, helping individuals and families achieve their long-term financial goals through tailored advice and ongoing financial planning support.

The role

As a Wealth Adviser, you will be responsible for providing holistic financial planning advice to a diverse client base, ensuring all recommendations are aligned to client objectives, regulatory requirements and Consumer Duty expectations.

You will conduct client meetings, gather and analyse financial information, assess suitability, present recommendations and manage ongoing client relationships.

The successful candidate will play a key role in generating revenue through the delivery of professional, compliant and client-centric financial advice.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver holistic financial planning advice across pensions, investments and retirement planning
  • Conduct client discovery meetings and full fact-finds
  • Assess clients’ objectives, attitude to risk and capacity for loss
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Present financial planning recommendations and advice solutions
  • Produce high-quality suitability reports and supporting documentation
  • Undertake cashflow modelling to support retirement and financial planning discussions
  • Advise on pension consolidation, drawdown and retirement income strategies
  • Maintain accurate and compliant client records
  • Operate in line with FCA regulations, Consumer Duty requirements and internal compliance standards
  • Liaise with paraplanners, administrators and other stakeholders to ensure excellent client outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to develop and grow existing client relationships
  • Contribute to business development and referral generation activity

Candidate profile

The successful candidate will be an experienced Financial Adviser or Wealth Adviser with a proven track record of delivering investment and retirement planning advice to private clients.

You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong technical knowledge and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients from a variety of backgrounds.

You will be comfortable conducting both face-to-face and virtual meetings and be capable of managing a portfolio of clients while maintaining high professional and regulatory standards.

Essential requirements

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, DipFA or equivalent
  • Current Competent Adviser Status (CAS)
  • Current Statement of Professional Standing (SPS)
  • Experience providing regulated financial advice to retail clients
  • Strong knowledge of pensions, investments and retirement planning
  • Experience conducting attitude to risk and capacity for loss assessments
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial planning recommendations
  • Cashflow modelling experience
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations and Consumer Duty
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a portfolio of clients
  • Strong report-writing and documentation skills
